East Gwillimbury sports complex to get over $600K in upgrades

What is happening

• Construction is underway at the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex to modernize facilities.

• The project is funded with over $600,000 from the Community Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Fund (CSRIF).

• Construction is expected to be completed by March 2027.
• CSRIF is a $500 million program (an additional $300 million was announced in the 2026 budget).
• CSRIF supports two streams: repairs/upgrades of existing facilities and building new or transformative facilities.
• Eligible applicants include municipalities, Indigenous communities, non-profits, and (for new builds only) for-profit organizations.
