Amendments to Domestic Substances List

Summary#

Order 2021-66-03-01 Amending the Domestic Substances List: SOR/2021-14 is an administrative change to Canada’s list of existing chemicals. It updates entries by removing some substances, adding others, and changing the way a few are described. The Order was registered on February 15, 2021 and published in the Canada Gazette on March 3, 2021.

What it does#

• Removes the substance with CAS number 1305-28-8 from Part 1 of the Domestic Substances List.
• Adds these CAS numbers to Part 1:

• Changes the Part 2 entry for 262299-63-8 from the code N-S to N-P-S (the List’s shorthand labels are adjusted for that entry).
• In Part 3, deletes the following listed entries:
  • 11145-3 — Alkylamine salt of complex phosphate ester
  • 12208-4 — Silica gel, reaction product with chromic acid, bis(triphenylsilyl) ester and metal alkalkoxide
  • 17922-3 — (listed with code N-P) 1,4-Benzenedicarboxylic acid, 1,4-dimethyl ester, polymer with 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol and cycloalkane diol
  • 15920-8 — (listed with code N) Siloxanes and silicones, di-Me, Me hydrogen, reaction products with alkene
• Replaces the descriptions of these Part 3 entries with updated wording:
  • 11053-1 — Reaction products of alkyl carboxylic acid and hydrogenated castor oil fatty acid with alkyl diamine
  • 11555-8 — Amides, tall-oil fatty, tall-oil, (iminopolyalkanediyl)poly-, phosphates
  • 11556-0 — Fatty acids, unsatd., maleated
  • 11557-1 — Fatty acids, unsatd., maleated, reaction products with alkenamine
• The Order took effect on the day it was registered (February 15, 2021).
