Official petition

Petition to the Minister of Government Transformation, Public Works and Procurement Whereas: - Canada Post's post office network is a vital national infrastructure, enabling Canadians to stay connected and communities and countless businesses to thrive; -The Mission, BC post office is often the only physical presence of the federal government in our community; -Closing this postal installation will be particularly harmful for the most vulnerable in our community if there is an issue with delivery of their mail or parcels due to theft, vandalism, bad weather and poor maintenance. This includes our seniors, those living with disabilities, those living alone, as well as those who do not have adequate transportation to get to another community to retrieve their mail and/or parcels. We, the undersigned residents of the Province of British Columbia call upon the Minister of Government Transformation, Public Works and Procurement to: 1- Instruct Canada Post to maintain 33191 - 1st Ave, Mission, BC, V2V 1G0 as a working and functioning Canada Post Office to continue to serve OUR community in Mission British Columbia. 2- Instruct Canada Post to maintain 33191 - 1st Ave, Mission, BC, V2V 1G0 as a working and functioning Canada Post Sort and Deliver Depot.
