Nova Scotia funds 44 projects to support older adults
The grants support food and housing help for older veterans and safer access to recreation equipment; applications for the next round are due November 19.
Summary
The grants: The program funds community efforts that help older adults stay active, healthy and involved. Project grants can be up to $20,000, while planning grants can be up to $25,000.
- VETS Canada: Its $20,000 grant supports food, housing help and other resources for older veterans in crisis, including food delivery for people with limited mobility or in rural areas.
- Recreation Nova Scotia: Its $10,000 grant will fund videos on using borrowed recreational and adapted equipment safely.
