Nova Scotians can book free flu and COVID-19 shots

People aged six months and older can book through pharmacies, health-care providers or public health as the respiratory-virus season approaches.

Nova Scotians aged six months and older can book free flu and COVID-19 vaccinations. Appointments are available through participating family doctors, nurse practitioners, pharmacies and public health services, including mobile units.

  • Book: Use the online booking system or YourHealthNS app, call 811, or contact your primary care provider. Family appointments can include up to six people.
  • RSV vaccinations: Starting October 25, eligible infants under eight months old, children under two at high risk, and people aged 75 or older who have not had an RSV vaccine can book. Adults aged 60 or older who live in long-term care or are waiting for a place are also eligible for a free RSV vaccine.
  • Program dates: The RSV program runs until May 8, 2027.
