Hunter fined $1,500 for not invalidating an antlerless deer tag

What happened

• A hunter (Angelo Micone of Beeton) shot an antlerless deer on Nov. 17, 2025, but did not immediately invalidate the antlerless deer tag as required.
• Conservation officers located him at his group’s hunt camp in the Township of Burpee and Mills on Manitoulin Island on Nov. 20, 2025 and found he had processed the deer and continued hunting without invalidating the tag.
