Motorists near Smoothstone River, Muenster, Wadena and Danielson Provincial Park may face lane restrictions or brief stops during work expected to finish this year.

Summary

Road and bridge work is underway or starting soon at four locations. Most projects are expected to be complete by late fall, though timelines depend on weather.

  • Highway 5 near Muenster: Culvert installation is expected to begin in early October. Traffic may be stopped briefly during construction.
  • Highway 5 northwest of Wadena: Two culverts are being installed; traffic will be reduced to one lane.
  • Highway 44 in Danielson Provincial Park: Paving is underway on more than 4 km of road and is expected to finish this year.
