Saskatchewan funding supports upgrades at veterans’ retreat

Saskatchewan has provided $145,000 to River Valley Resilience Retreat (RVRR) since 2021–22 for improvements at its facility near St. Louis, south of Prince Albert. The work has included accessibility renovations and building construction, supporting veterans, first responders and their families.

• RVRR offers seasonal retreats and weekly peer-support sessions.
• This year, 64 veterans’ organizations across Saskatchewan received $1.45 million through the program.
• For the third year in a row, the program received enough applications to use all available funding in a single intake.
