No Federal Taxpayer-Funded Housing for Illegal Aliens Act of 2026

Summary#

This bill would block Federal funds from being used to provide covered housing assistance to an alien unlawfully present in the United States. It names many types of covered assistance, including rental assistance (security deposits, first month rent, rental arrears, application fees), housing vouchers, mortgage assistance, utility help tied to housing, hotel or motel stays, emergency or permanent housing, stabilization services (housing search, placement, relocation, eviction prevention, landlord mediation, counseling, case management), and related administrative costs. The bill exempts uses of funds that are for the enforcement of immigration laws or the enforcement of criminal laws.
