This bill amends Title XIX of the Social Security Act to require State Medicaid Fraud Control Units (MFCUs) to investigate and prosecute instances of fraud involving people who apply for or receive Medicaid, not just providers. It adds the phrases "application for, or receipt of" and "individuals applying for or receiving" to section 1903(q)(3) and makes a conforming change to section 1902(a)(61). The changes take effect 180 days after enactment.
