Strengthen Competitiveness Against Subsidies

Summary#

The bill would require the United States Trade Representative, working with specified federal agencies, to regularly monitor industrial subsidies provided or planned by China. Starting within one year of enactment and every year after that, the Trade Representative would report to two congressional committees on subsidies that pose significant risks to U.S. jobs or manufacturing, including in strategically critical industries and goods. The report would also recommend actions to reduce those risks.
