Riding Associations Deregistered

Summary#

    • Bloc Québécois d'Abitibi – Baie-James – Nunavik – Eeyou
    • Parry Sound – Muskoka - PPC Association
    • People's Party of Canada - Kildonan – St. Paul
• The notice is dated January 26, 2021 and signed by Josée Villeneuve, Senior Director, Political Financing.

Who's affected#

• Local electoral district associations named above — mostly local branches of the People's Party of Canada and the Bloc Québécois.
• Members, volunteers, local organizers and possibly donors in those specific ridings may notice changes.
• The Gazette notice does not say who else, if anyone, is directly affected beyond the named associations.

Why it matters#

• The item tells the public which riding associations are no longer listed as registered in federal records as of February 28, 2021.
