Pagination and Date Correction

Summary#

This is an erratum from the Canada Gazette, Part II, noting a pagination and date mistake in the issue that was published on January 6, 2021. The notice replaces the incorrect cover page page-range and an incorrect date, and it renumbers the pages inside the issue (except the tables of contents and indexes).

What it does#

• Replaces the cover page page-range string Pages 4101 to 4174 with Pages 1 to 74.
• Replaces the incorrect date January 8, 2020 on the cover (in the first paragraph under "Notice to Readers") with the correct date January 6, 2021.
• On the pages after the cover (excluding the tables of contents and the indexes), replaces the right-hand header page numbers 4101, 4102, ..., 4174 with 1, 2, 3, ..., 74.

Who's affected#

• Readers and researchers who downloaded, cited, or archived that Canada Gazette issue.
• Libraries, archives, and databases that catalogued or indexed the issue using the incorrect page numbers or date.
• Publishers, legal professionals, or anyone who references specific pages from that issue in citations or records.
• It is unclear if any other systems (for example, automated citation tools) were affected; the notice does not list them.

Why it matters#

• Wrong page numbers or the wrong publication date can break citations and make it harder to find or verify material from that issue.
