We, the undersigned, citizens and residents of Canada, call upon the House of Commons to 1. Amend the Sex Offender Information Registration Act to establish a limited public section of the National Sex Offender Registry for individuals convicted of designated sexual offences against children and other legally recognized vulnerable persons; 2. Disclose only information reasonably necessary for public safety while protecting victims' identities, ensuring due process, providing a process to correct errors; and 3. Work with provinces and territories to create a consistent national public registry. 1.
