Cost Estimates Improvement Act

Summary#

This bill adds a new section to the Congressional Budget Act of 1974. It says any estimate prepared by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) under section 402, and any estimate by the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT), must include, to the extent practicable, the costs (if any) of servicing the public debt. The bill also updates the Act's table of contents to list the new section.

What it means for you#
