The bill would require states to electronically verify Medicaid non-emergency transportation and applied behavior analysis services provided on or after January 1, 2027. States already using an electronic verification system for these services would not have to meet the new requirements as long as they continue using their system. If the Secretary finds a state is not complying, the state must submit a corrective action plan within 90 days and show how it will comply within one year of notice.
People receiving Medicaid-covered non-emergency transportation or applied behavior analysis services may have those services electronically verified. The bill does not describe any new duties for patients.
The bill does not specify expenses or funding amounts.
