Spectrum Coordination Act

Summary#

The bill would require the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) to make public information about federal agencies’ coordination on certain Federal Communications Commission (FCC) spectrum actions. The information would include which federal agencies may be affected and any technical, procedural, or policy concerns, with protected information allowed to be withheld. If the FCC issues a final rule involving such an action, it would publish a summary of the coordination and explain how concerns were resolved. The FCC and NTIA would also update their coordination memorandum within three years and at least every four years after that.
