Know Your Labor Rights Act

Summary#

This bill amends the National Labor Relations Act to require employers to post and maintain a notice explaining employees' rights under the Act. The National Labor Relations Board must write regulations requiring the notice be posted in conspicuous places where employee notices are usually posted, both physically and electronically. The Board must make the notice form and text available on its website at no cost. Employers must also notify each new employee of the information in the notice. If the Board or a designated agent finds an employer violated the posting requirement, the Board must state findings of fact, order the employer to comply, and may impose a civil penalty of up to $500 for each violation.
