Defense Digital Organization Study

Summary#

The bill directs the Defense Science Board to study how the Department of Defense should organize its work on digital solutions, including software, artificial intelligence, data engineering, and analytics. The study must review current organizations and consider possible new or revised structures. It must also assess costs, staffing, governance, and implementation needs. The Board must send its report to the Secretary of Defense by February 1, 2027. The Secretary must send it to congressional defense committees within 30 days.

What it means for you#
