Bolts Ditch Act

Summary#

This bill adds two named water entities to a list of groups that may do maintenance work on Bolts Ditch and the Bolts Ditch Headgate inside the Holy Cross Wilderness. It changes Section 1101(a) of the John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act to name the Eagle River Water and Sanitation District (a Colorado special district) and the Upper Eagle Regional Water Authority (an authority organized under Colorado law) as eligible to complete that maintenance.

What it means for you#

If you use or visit the area near Bolts Ditch in the Holy Cross Wilderness, this bill would allow the two named local water entities to carry out maintenance on the ditch and headgate. The bill text only adds eligibility for those entities to perform maintenance work.
