Operators must submit expressions of interest by December 3, 2026, for a market plan requiring at least $1.5 billion in investment per casino.
Summary
Ontario and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) are inviting experienced operators to compete to build new casino developments in Niagara. Interested operators must respond to the first phase by December 3, 2026.
- The market will initially allow up to three new operators.
- Each operator must invest at least $1.5 billion and pay a $100 million entrance fee.
- The plan includes a 9.75% gaming tax rate for Niagara operators.
- The province says the expansion could enable more than $3 billion in direct gaming investment and support over 10,000 construction jobs.
