The city council has approved the 46-year extension of the lease between the City of Montreal and the Maison Aurélie-Cadotte for the building at 56 Sherbrooke Street East, with an annual rent of $7,600. It has also mandated the Real Estate and Housing Strategy Service to prepare an agreement regarding the financial assistance of $6,200,000 reserved for the Maison Aurélie-Cadotte to rebuild the building, and approved a mutual release related to the fire of May 25, 2023.
