The city council approved the direction to authorize the City of Montreal to receive a maximum grant of $5,643,000 from the Sûreté du Québec for the participation of the SPVM in the EICDE, from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2030, and the maintenance of six temporary police positions. It also authorized an additional budget of revenues and expenditures of $846,450 for 2025, as well as an adjustment to the budget base for subsequent years.
