The municipal council has authorized a service loan agreement between the Sûreté du Québec and the City to assign a police resource from the Montreal Police Service to the Sûreté du Québec's Internet Child Sexual Exploitation Team, for four years starting from April 1, 2025. It has also authorized an additional budget equivalent of revenues and expenses for 2025 of $126,560, an adjustment to the budget base for subsequent years, and the maintenance of the temporary increase in the authorized staffing of one police officer for the same period.
