The city council unanimously adopted a declaration that congratulates the restaurants and their teams awarded by the Michelin Guide 2026, the Lauriers de la gastronomie, and Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants.
The City will organize an event at City Hall to highlight the awarded individuals. It also invites Montrealers, as well as visitors, to discover local restaurants and support Montreal's gastronomy.
The declaration showcases restaurants throughout the metropolis. The Michelin Guide 2026 awarded a new star to Hoogan and Beaufort and Sushi Nishinokaze. Jérôme Ferrer-Europea, Mastard, and Sabayon retained their star. In total, 49 Montreal restaurants are recommended in the guide, and seven have received a Bib Gourmand.
The declaration also highlights the awards given by the Lauriers de la gastronomie and the presence of 28 Montreal restaurants on the Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants list.
