The municipal council has requested Hydro-Québec to design the undergrounding work of overhead cable networks along Jean-Talon East Street, between 24th Avenue and Buies Street, in the borough of Saint-Léonard. The City has mandated the Transportation Major Projects Directorate in partnership to submit the request and the Montreal Electrical Services Commission to integrate the technical aspects and manage the civil works. If the City postpones or abandons the request, it commits to reimbursing Hydro-Québec for the incurred costs, estimated at $330,000, before taxes.
